KEY SKILLS

Software: Highly proficient with web and graphic design software including Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Logic (including the use of MIDI), Final Cut Pro, Illustrator and 3D Studio Max.

Programming: Comprehensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, digital image editing, website design and usability. Working knowledge of Javascript programming, PHP, Actionscript 3 and Processing.

Sensor technologies: Working knowledge of Arduino programming, Pure Data (PD) and basic electronics.

Photography: Comprehensive knowledge of digital photography and image manipulation using a Canon EOS 350D DSLR camera, Sigma EF-500 DG Super flashgun and Adobe Photoshop.

Video: Working knowledge of video editing and production in both DV and HD formats, using Sony HVR-Z1E, Canon XL1, JVC GY-DV500 and SONY HDR-HC7E cameras and editing audio and video in Final Cut Pro.

Audio: Working knowledge of Edirol R-09 24-bit WAVE/MP3 recorder for sampling sounds and the use of MIDI and synthesizers in Logic to create audio tracks.

Languages: Fluent English and Portuguese, working knowledge of Spanish and basic understanding of French.

Other: Full Irish Driving License category B. I have my own transport.

INTERESTS

I am interested in the use of digital technologies to generate social interaction, ubiquitous computing, mobile and sensor technologies, digital art installations, video, audio, multimedia, photography, digital image manipulation, film, drawing, painting, animation, product design and architecture.

I worked as a voluntary coach for the Irish Surfing Association (ISA) between 2005 and 2009 and have coached the Irish National Surfing team during international events in France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Costa Rica. I qualified as a tutor under the Adventure Sports Framework of Coaching Ireland and have taught both ISA Surf Coach courses and Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) Beach Lifeguard courses.

During my studies in the Letterkenny Institute of Technology I helped to organise the Open Day in the Design Department, assisting the tutors in showcasing work and facilities to prospective students and was also an active member of the LYIT Basketball and Disc Clubs.

During my studies at Trinity College I helped in the organisation of the Open Day and taught climbing to adults in the Trinity Gym.
